George reminds us that it is critical to understand Jesus’ teaching in light of the larger story of the Scriptures. He then specifically challenges us from Mat. 7 to be discerning, especially about true and false prophets. One way that we discern is by reflecting on whether the prophets, by their words and life, are drawing us closer to Jesus.
