After a reading of Colossians 1:15-23, she traces God&#8217;s longing for communion with us back to the Garden of Eden and the two trees, showing that sin took root when humanity stopped trusting God to know what is good. Pointing to Hebrews 4:15-16, she reminds us that Jesus understands our weakness and invites us to approach the throne of grace with confidence.
