{"id":2209,"date":"2026-08-16T10:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T10:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/livinglightmc.com\/?p=2209"},"modified":"2026-08-17T01:38:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T01:38:36","slug":"building-up-the-body-jenny-gehman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/livinglightmc.com\/?p=2209","title":{"rendered":"Building Up the Body &#8211; Jenny Gehman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Guest speaker Jenny Gehman, associate pastor at James Street Mennonite Church and author of <em>Little Life Words<\/em>, preaches from Philippians 1:1-11, where Paul, writing from prison near the end of his life, drops his self-sufficiency and opens his heart in surprising vulnerability.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing on Moses&#8217; plea to Hobab to come along (Numbers 10:29-32) and Jesus sending out the seventy &#8220;armed with vulnerability&#8221; (Luke 10:1-9), she shows that the body of Christ can never say &#8220;I don&#8217;t need you&#8221; to one another.
